Marianus Gil de Tejada was a Spanish priest. Alban Butler (1711-1773), hagiographer, was educated at Douay, and ordained priest in 1735. He was sent to England in 1746, and became chaplain to Edward, Duke of Norfolk, and the tutor of his heir. Thereafter, he was president of the English College at Saint-Omer, 1768-1773.
